Hi,

I saw this discussed before but I didn't quite understand it so I would like to ask it again. Is it possible to use the QS with its inputs in conjunction with the XAC on PC? I would like to use the QS for most and add a few buttons to use with myt hands. is that even possible, if so how?

Thanks

The best way would be to get a Brook Wingman XE and connect the the XAC to the Quadstick through it.  Then all the XAC inputs are available within the Quadstick configuration.

Given the price of two adaptive buttons compared the price of an XAC, with its two buttons, and a Brook XE, they about the same, but you'd have the option of all the other inputs an XAC can bring.

The XBox App on the PC also supports copilot, but it has been a long time since I tried that.  You might need to feed the quadstick to the PC via an adapter, like a Brook Wingman XB or a Mayflash Magic-X.

I plan on investing in a gaming PC. That's why I want to be absolutely sure this set up will work. So if I understand correctly, I can do a quadstick configuration as I usually would, and additionally use the Xbox adaptive controller with more buttons? I just plug both of those into the wingman?

I also saw Titan 2 mentioned, what about that?

Gaming on the PC is more complicated and offers more options than on a console. Every game is different in how it uses game controllers, mice, and keyboards.

Every game store, like Steam, Epic, Battle.net, XBox, etc (there are more than twenty), do it differently, and do it differently in different games.

There is no single answer for how to use the Quadstick and/or other controllers with all of them.

On a console, nearly every game will play the same way using the same controller.  That is just not the case with PC gaming.

The closest to a "standard" is most games, not all, that accept a controller will work with the XBox 360 controller emulation on the Quadstick.  Most, not all, will also work with QMP 4+ emulating an XBox One controller, but that is more complicated to install and set up.

That is all just the connection between the quadstick and the PC.

You can plug many different devices into the back of the Quadstick.  Using a Brook Wingman XE plugged into the USB-A socket allows over 125 different controllers, including the XAC, to bring their inputs into the Quadstick to be used in the configuration, as if they were a Playstation DS4 controller.  Example test configuration.

Hi, I finally got around to try and set this up. I got the XAC but I'm still waiting on the wingman. In the meantime I thought I could maybe try the copilot function on PC. Would this work without any additional equipment? How can the Xbox accessory app Recognize my QS as a second controller?

The last time I tried it, Windows copilot will not work with the Quadstick in XBox 360 mode, or with the ViGEmBus virtual controller.  It requires true XBox One/X/S compatible controllers.  You can run the Quadstick through a Wingman XB2 or XB3 converter, but at that point, why not just bring the XAC into the Quadstick via the Wingman XE2.

All right. I got the XE2 now. I plug that into the quadstick and the XAC into the XE2. What's next?

You can use XAC via Wingman XE tester as a starting point to map XAC inputs into the Quadstick.

For example, the A button on the XAC will show up as usb_1_button_6 in the Quadstick:

Anormalusb_1_button_6A

The right joystick will show up as:

right_joy_leftnormalusb_2_left
Right Analog Stick
right_joy_rightnormalusb_2_right
right_joy_upnormalusb_2_up
right_joy_downnormalusb_2_down

This is all assuming the XAC is configured in its factory default settings.  They have their own ability to remap inputs and outputs.
