I'm using quadstick On a Dell laptop. It has always worked fairly consistently, but recently I have had an issue where every few minutes or so, if I try to do any switch input, it will kind of glitch out or just stop responding a couple seconds. I think I notice what appears to be a light may be coming from inside when it happens sometimes, but I might just be seeing things.I did just start using a new laptop, so that could be the problem? I'm really not sure. Either way, does anyone know how to maybe troubleshoot this?

Let us know if this fixes the problem, or not.

I followed the instructions and turned it off on 2 USB Root hubs. Doesn't seem to have fixed it. Still getting little pauses in the output.

Okay, so I am just adding this sheet to the Google sheets document?

It says not to do this Unless I know exactly what I'm doing, and I don't know exactly what I'm doing.

And how do I do this? "Run the latest firmware:  2365"

I'm reading over the documentation now.

Just make sure to leave your default.csv and prefs.csv alone.  Select the file that turns off flash drive after power up.

I updated the firmware and read over the documentation for USB emulation modes.I just want to make sure I don't damage the quadstick. What do I need to avoid doing which could prevent me from changing the settings? Is it okay to just add that preferences sheet as is into my default configuration file?

Okay, so I can't make it the default?

I was hoping to set it to be the default because currently I use the quadstick on 2 different computers and I switch back and forth using a press button switch that switches which computer I control quadstick with. It would be a bit of a hassle to have to change  back to the configuration file every time I switch computers. Is there any way I can use this emulation mode on the default?

Before you do anything, back up the CSV files from your Quadstick to a folder on your computer.  That way, if things go south, you'll be able to restore it quickly.

Make sure running in mode 6 fixes the problem, then, using Windows file manager, you can make a copy of your current default.csv, name it zdefault.csv, and then rename.the no-flash.csv file to default.csv.

You will need to switch to zdefault.csv to use QMP to manage files.
