If the mouse pointer moves, the USB connection is functioning at 100%, as far as the Quadstick is concerned. There will not be a situation where the mouse interface is connected and the keyboard interface is not, at the USB level.
There may be some software installed on your machine that could interfere with things later, but that is not under the control of the quadstick, and I don't know of anything that would do that.
On the
zWOW, second mode sheet, these rows will not work correctly, unless the joystick dead-zone shape is square (0).
| kb_w | normal | up |
| kb_a | normal | left |
| kb_s | normal | down |
| kb_d | normal | right |
Use greater_than when connecting on/off digital outputs to the analog joystick, like was used on Main mouse, Arrows sheet:
| kb_left_arrow | greater_than 50 | left |
| kb_right_arrow | greater_than 50 | right |
| kb_up_arrow | greater_than 50 | up |
| kb_down_arrow | greater_than 50 | down |
It does not have to 50, a smaller value can work fine.
If you are having trouble with sips and puffs not being sensed correctly, make sure the mouthpiece and tubing is clean and clear. I frequently get quadsticks sent in for repair that just have clogged mouthpieces.
