I have seen a couple threads on this happening but no real solutions. I am using the latest version 4 of Qlab and the mouse cursor seems to randomly disappear during the show.

Any word on what causes this and how to correct it?

Out of interest, what machine are you using? I've experienced a few such graphic glitches (not necessarily in QLab) using a new MacBook Pro15"  w/TB. MS Excel is regularly a nightmare.

Using a MacBook Air. I have been using this same machine for about three years in the theatre without an issue at all. Seems to have started with the latest update of Qlab. Doesn't happen in any other app.

I believe I may have found the cause of this. I noticed that when using video that occasionally the mouse was jumping to the video surface. With my monitor set up on my Mac a simple swipe left brought the mouse back in from the right side of the screen.

Hi Brad!

Ah yes, that sounds right — QLab will hide the mouse if it ever wanders on to a video surface, to prevent accidentally showing it on stage.

Hi Brad

For this reason, I usually configure my displays in System Preferences to sit corner-to-corner, which makes it harder to accidentally swipe the mouse over to the wrong screen.

Best

I am having the same issue - but while I am editing LIGHT CUES without a video display screen connected. It seems that the pointer disappears after editing values in the Inspector for a light cue. (Tabbing between tiles is also working only sporadically.) This is happing on both my MacBook Pro (2013) and my iMac (2009).

I had the same issue today, navigation from a Virtual Desktop to an other in macOS. When going back to the Virtual Desktop were QLab was running, my mouse pointer disappeared.

I was using the last Mojave with a VP. My mouse didn't went into the VP display at all. Going back to another Virtual Desktop, and clicking on the QLab icon on the dock did the trick to get my mouse back.

I don't have Video, just ProAudio, and when using an extra monitor to speed up my work flow, the cursor keeps disappearing in Big Sur. Is there a hot key to just show the cursor? Where do I find this in the documentation?
Thanks
Richard
