Hello burnthefires
I think I can help, but I have a few questions also:
First of all, when you say “subgroups” I’m guessing you mean what ETC calls submasters, is that correct? A single proportionally controlled group of lights?
Second, I’m not sure what you mean by "apparently we're not getting those in QLab anytime soon”… we have no public roadmap, so I don’t know how you drew this conclusion. I think you’ll find that we are very responsive to constructive feedback from the QLab community. The more we learn about how people are using QLab and what they need, the better.
Now, to your point most directly, I’m not sure what you mean by “mass pull” but I think you can make use of the built in `all` light group. Here’s how:
- Create a cue which has the look you want. make sure it includes every single instrument in your show. let’s call that cue ‘A'
- For every cue that you want to copy that look, use the command `all = cue A’
- If you ever need to add instruments to your show, manually add them to cue A.
- The cues which pull from cue A will automatically reflect that change.
Please let me know if this works out for you.
Best
Sam
