Does anyone know if its possible to emulate an OSC connection between Qlab and X32 Edit so i can program up and TEST mic mute OSC cues whilst sitting in the car for instance?

If so a speedy step by step would be awesome.

Cheers

Carl.

Patrick-Gilles Maillot's X32 emulator (https://sites.google.com/site/patrickmaillot/x32) seems to work fine for this.

2. Unzip
3. Open a Terminal, change to the X32mac folder, and run ./X32
4. Note the IP address of your machine (where the X32 emulator is listening)
5. Open QLab, and configure a new Network Patch for the Emulator. Use the IP address you noted above.
6. Change any existing cues to use the net Network Patch.
7. Run the cues as usual. You should see a response in the terminal window where the X32 emulator is running. It is a bit cryptic - see below - but should be more than good enough to confirm that you cues are working properly.

Here is the result of a quick test I just did:

Rogers-iMac:X32mac trogers$ ./X32

X32 - v0.69 - An X32 Emulator - (c)2014-2017 Patrick-Gilles Maillot

Listening to port: 10023, X32 IP = 172.16.1.4

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the reply. Ive followed your steps below but am not getting any output to the emulator.

Do my settings look right?

Nope. Your are using Port 50010. You should be using Port 10023. That is the Port that the emulator is listening on. (The real X32 listens on the same Port.)

Let me know if that solves the problem for you.

Everything looks good in the screenshot. I can't see the issue.

I'd try to usual troubleshooting dance. Restart QLab, restart the terminal and application.

Perhaps a local firewall on the Mac blocking the port?

I tried it on my main Mac, and it just worked. I'll try it on my laptop as well, and let you know if I can make it fail!

Good luck!

Hey guys. Stumbled on this while dealing with a similar issue. My commands to our M32 don’t go through unless I turn off the Mac firewall completely. Qlab is already added to the permissions list.

Any suggestions, or do I need to disable the firewall completely?

Is there any way to get X32EDIT (the Behringer X32 Emulator) to respond to the commands?

So I've managed to get this working great.

Qlab sends the command and X32mac sees it.

X32 EDIT also sends messages to X32mac as I can see the info coming into X32mac when a fader is moved etc.

Question: is there a way for X32 EDIT to emulate X32mac so that when qLab sends a command to X32mac, X32 EDIT responds accordingly.

Is this even possible?

Carl.
