NDI, is it mandatory to disabled EEE?

Hello everybody.

We have a show where we have to use NDI. In his web, they said (like Dante) that you have to disable EEE (Energy-Efficient Ethernet).

 We only have cheap unmanaged switch. In your experience: is it recomendable to buy a managed switch to disabled EEE?

Both Dante and NDI require EEE to be disabled to work properly.

Managed switches aren’t required; I use unmanaged Netgear GS108v4 switches all the time.

You just need to definitely not have EEE in the picture.

I´m confused: I´ve looked the Netgear GS108v4 on his web and they said that support the latest Energy Efficient Ethernet. So, can I disable this EEE on the GS108v4?

I do beg your pardon; I typed too fast.

Older versions of the GS108 don’t have EEE, and those are the ones I’ve used.
