Hola! I would like to read an audio from very wide to a concrete point. I guess I have to assign a fade cue to the spread function in objects. How do I do that?

Thank you!

Hello!

The answer depends on whether you’re using a cue object or a map object.

To fade the spread of a cue object:
  • First create an Audio cue. In the Objects tab of the Audio cue's inspector, assign a map and create an object. With that object selected, adjust the Spread on the right side of the inspector to the starting size.
  • Then, create a Fade cue that targets the Audio cue. In the Objects tab of the Fade cue’s inspector, select the object from the list on the left, then check the box labeled “Spread” on the right side of the inspector. Then adjust the spread to the ending size.

To fade the spread of a map object:
  • First create a map object by going to Workspace Settings > Audio, clicking on the Audio Maps tab, then clicking the Edit button for the map you’re using. In the audio map editor, click on the Map Objects tab, and then click Add Map Object. Set the initial position and spread of the map object. When you’re done, close the audio map editor window and the workspace settings window.
  • Then, create a Fade cue that targets the map. You do this by making a new Fade cue, going to the Basics tab in the inspector, and choosing “Map” from the Target pop-up menu in the middle of the inspector. Once you’ve done that, choose the map that you’re using from the pop-up menu directly to the right.
  • In the Objects tab of the Fade cue’s inspector, select the object from the list on the left, then check the box labeled “Spread” on the right side of the inspector. Then adjust the spread to the ending size.
