Hi everyone,
I apologize if this is a stupid question but I can't seem to find a solution that doesn't involve scripts, which I'd rather avoid.
I'm using Qlab in a music show to trigger audio and trigger Ableton via MIDI. There are no secondary monitors and there won't be. I'd like to use Text Cues to give myself notes on my laptop screen during the show, so me or whoever is running the show doesn't forget critical information.
Whenever I fire a Text Cue, it takes over my whole screen (even if I try and set a smaller Video Stage that is only partial) and then the only way to go back to my computer is by hitting the Esc key. Is there a way that qlab will "free" up the screen whenever the video/text cue is stopped?

Thank you!

I would send your video stage to a Syphon output, then use the monitor button on the Video Outputs page to view that output, and tick “float” on that window so it always stays on top

This would mean the video monitor window would stay visible for the whole show, right? Even if it has nothing to display?
It's a workaround I'll check if I don't find anything better, but ideally I would like it to take over the screen (so the operator can only see the reminder) and then disappear and go back to the regular computer screen.
Thanks!

Oh I see- if you turn off “keep rendering between cues” on the stage, then you can add a stop cue into your cue list targeting the text cue. When the op hits go again the text cue will stop and the screen will come back
