Hello!  I am using w-lab 5 to run audio cues.  The Macbook plays the cues just fine out of its own speakers, but when I plug in the USB-C -? 1/4 inch cable and run it through a DI box to the mixing console, we experience intermittent delay.  Often, the first second or so of a cue fires correctly but plays no audio.  Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks,
Ryan

Are you charging the Mack book trough same usb-c dock? Sometimes i have had problems with Dante, if I charge trough usb-c dock. Must be something to do with heat.

Good question, no not using that as the charging cable, have it plugged in through a dedicated brick.  All outputs for this macbook Air are USB-C, so I'm kinda stuck with that as an output.

I've had this problem with some equipment that turns itself off to save energy (domestic TVs or Bluetooth adapters for example). It takes a second for them to 'wake up' when you start sending signal again. Try sending a low level white noise all the time and see if that fixes the problem.

Not sure if that's what's wrong, but it does fit the symptoms.
