Hi Ujaval and Team,
It is encouraging to see the active participation across the ongoing initiatives.
I wanted to check if additional support would be helpful on the community engagement side. A structured platform — for example, LinkedIn or Telegram (aligned with existing channels) — could help regularly share contributor recognition, publication highlights, new developments, and acknowledgements. It may also help attract students and early-career GIS professionals to join and contribute.
I would be happy to assist in coordinating and maintaining such efforts in alignment with the team.
I would appreciate your feedback.
Best regards,
Amey
Hi,
I am planning an outreach program this March for students in Classes 5 to 7 at a local Zila Parishad school.
I’ve already had a very positive meeting with the principal and teachers, and they are excited to introduce the students to mapping. My goal is to create student-specific content, potentially in regional languages, to make it as accessible as possible.
If any of you have suggestions, simple exercise ideas, or existing beginner-friendly resources (especially in Indian languages), I would love to hear them. Additionally, is there a specific format we should use, or any dos and don'ts for submitting a blog post related to this initiative?

I'll add you to the Telegram group for content team and you can coordinate with him.On the student engagement side, @Aravinth R had similar thoughts on initiating student chapters. Will be good to initiate a discussion among us on how to start. Let's setup a meeting to discuss more.On Sun, Mar 1, 2026 at 7:31 PM Amey Bagul <ameyb...@gmail.com> wrote:Hi Ujaval and Team,
