Dear all,

I have a problem when I try to view chart in Control Chart. Basic view works fine. Does anybody have idea what to do?

Best,
Sašo

Hi Sašo,

It could be that you don't have enough data for a control chart  to work correctly.  I haven't used those charts in  a long while but I recall needing a fairly extensive history for a test before the control charts produced meaningful results.

Hi Randle,

As you can see on the screenshot in first post, I have more then 10 inputs, do you think I need more then this? Or it could be something with highcharts -> error Node not found -> highstock.js.168

Best,
Sašo

Sorry, I missed the screenshots when I read your email.  It could be the Javascript error (although the control charts don't depend on highstock.js) or possibly the null data values present in your series.  I should be able to investigate in the next day or two and get back to you!

I experimented a bit today and I believe the issue is the null values in your data.  This is a bug in the control chart code that will have to be fixed for the next release.  I've filed and issue here: https://bitbucket.org/tohccmedphys/qatrackplus/issues/289/control-chart-doesnt-handle-null-values  Sorry for the inconvenience!

Dear Randle,
I deleted all null values and the Control Chart are still not working. The error I got is on the screenshot.

Hi Sašo,

Sorry for the slow follow up.  It's tough to say what is causing that 500 error.  If you put the server in debug mode (set DEBUG = True in local_settings.py and restart the server) then when you get that 500 error, you can right click on that link in the dev console and select "Open in new tab" and you will be able to see an error traceback.

Hi,

Has there been a resolution to this issue? I also cannot get control charts to work.

Thanks,

James.

Hi Randle,

I'm also interested in getting control charts to work and always get the message "'Something went wrong while generating your control chart".  I am using at least 50 data points with no null values.

Can you please advise on what is required to make the control chart feature work?

Thanks in advance,
Brige

Hi Brige,

Unfortunately, it's tough for me to say what the problem might be, although that error usually means there was a problem generating the chart on the server side.   Have you tried adjusting the subgroup size or number of subgroups?  What version of QATrack+ are you using?

Randy
