Hey guys,

As part of my final year project at university I've created a series of scripts using Python for Maya.

I was wondering if I could get some feedback on them as it would really help my dissertation.

Here's a link to the blogpost with tutorials on each script:

Thanks,

Pete

With your control editor, we typically want to edit sub-curves on
controls and combine / explode controls (extract each sub-curve / shape
to its own object). Edit only particular sub-curves size as well.

I don't think you should edit the scaling of the control if you are
with the scale slider. You should just scale the point positions.

Good stuff overall.

Hey Peter,
Thanks for sharing.
I've seen the Control Editor so far, so I'll add some comments in case they are usefull...
Something that is really usefull for me is mirroring curves.
I also have a tool for replacing existing curves with another one you provide that i use quite often...
Cheers!
Eduardo

Hey Eric,

Thanks for your feedback, it's great to get another set of eyes on my tools.

The script at the moment scales all sub-objects simultaneously and uniformly, it does this at a sub-object level so the transform node isn't affected at all.

Have you any feedback on any of the other tools?

Cheers,

Pete

Hey Eduardo,

Thanks for your feedback, it's great to get another set of eyes on my tools.

By mirroring the curves, do you mean the whole curve, across an axis plane, the whole transform across an axis plane or mirror locally on the selected points, like mirroring polygon geometry?

Also do you any feedback on any of the other tools?

Cheers,

Pete
