Hello,
I have a question that could be simple for who is expert in Maya.
I have imported in Maya some Arts from in FBX format.
About the FBX taken, they appears in white in the graphical intergace of Maya, those arts have some Phong and textures and perhaps other things like shaders.

I need that the render appear in the Maya graphical interface ( the blue cube button is pressed).

Someone can help? For some reason i need that the phong ans so on have to be rendered immediatly, note: i have removed the textures.

Thanks.

What do you mean by having the render appear in the Maya graphical interface, and being rendered immediately? Are you saying that after you import your FBX, you don't even see the model in your viewport? Or are you saying that you see it but it is not being displayed live in your viewport the way you would expect?

Yes i mean that i see the model in the viewport live but it appears in white, i ask this because if i exoprt it with my game asset engine it appears in white too.
I have taken it from the Unity asset store, i see that all object taken from there have this problem.
I have attacched one example.
Thanks.

Are you sure you exported your FBX with textures? It is possible that you didn't.

Hello, about textures i do not see links to textures in the FBX.
I only see some phong materials applied to some mesh objects that have the name of some files with extension mat that i found in a subdirectory "materials". Those materials seems not loaded because appears in gray.
There are also some shaders and two are not possible to be deleted.

I have tried to delete the deletable shaders and reapply phong materials over the gray matirials *.mat not found but nothing change, it remains all in white in the live viewport.

Do you know if those *.mat files are compatible from Unity to maya?About shaders why two are not possible to delete?

I have attached one *.mat file that is contained in a subdirectory "materials".

thanks
R
