Hi all,

This is just a quick announcement for the 1.0b2 release that we just pushed on 23rd May, 2025.  This is long overdue and should resolve the many installation issues people have been facing.

The major improvements are:

  * Support NumPy2 and Cython 3.
  * Fix compatibility with Python 3.11, 3.12.
  * Added splash interpolation method
  * Fixed the viewer so it persists its shape, add play/pause/next/prev buttons.
  * Add ability to change the interpolation scheme to the UI.
  * Add a ``dump_xdmf`` option to dump XDMF files for visualization with other tools.
  * Various bug fixes.

PySPH should now be easier to install thanks to these fixes.

cheers,
Prabhu and Navaneet

A Dinesh
