I'd like to use the GLViewWidget to display mesh data but have additional widgets floating in the scene, similar to the example found here: [
https://doc.qt.io/archives/qq/qq26-openglcanvas.html]. I'm wondering if anyone has gone about this before, and if there is any guidance for doing so. My current thinking is that I'll need to reimplement many of the features currently found in GLViewWidget in a class that inherits from QGraphicsScene rather than from QWidget, but I'd hate to duplicate that effort. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to go about this?
