highlight a plot with its legend

Hello,
I am looking for a solution for a tricky problem: what I want to do is: when I click a plot on a graph, the plot is highlighted to indicate it is selected (for example, shadow is added or become thicker whatever) AND its legend correspondingly is changed as well. With this function, a user can easily identify which plot is selected and what it is especially when too many plots are shown in the same graph.
