Hi,

I am working on a PyPSA drag-and-drop GUI builder. It is getting close to the point where it is actually usable. Here, it auto-routed the AC-DC meshed example.

I was wondering if there is still interest in such a tool. I think it could be great initially for educational purposes. You can open the network directly on the canvas in Jupyter with one click.

I would love to know if there is any further interest in this. It has been dficussed and we even tried a PandaPower version many years ago.

The development stack is the Python Reflex application stack, with a modified component to show React Flow on the canvas.

the code is not released yet. We need to still make a couple of decitions and clean the repo up a bit first. but just checking if there is still som interest..

Regards,
Tobie

Hi Tobie,

That looks great. I would love to have such a simple tool to create a PyPSA network with drag and drop.
Is the repository available to share already?

Regards,
Markus

Hi Tobie,

Great initiative! There is definitely interest in a PyPSA GUI, particularly to help ease the steep learning curve for new users.

I wanted to flag that I recently came across a project with a similar concept developed by another community member: PyPSA Drawer. It may be worth reaching out to explore potential collaboration and avoid duplicating efforts.

Best regards,

Long
