PyHC Fall Meeting - PHEP vote announcement & registration link

Hi all,

A reminder that the fully virtual PyHC 2025 Fall Meeting will take place Tuesday, November 18th - Thursday, November 20th. I’ve put together a registration page at this link and there will soon be a web page to document it as well. Please register on or before Wednesday, November 12th to ensure you receive meeting notifications.

As part of the meeting, on the 20th we will vote on several different PHEPs. As required for the PHEP approval process, I am announcing these votes one month in advance from the vote. See below for more details on the PHEPs. I highly encourage you to read through them and comment prior to the fall meeting:

• Discussion as needed on PHEP 3, upstream package support and SPEC 0.
• First vote was at the 2024 Fall Meeting, and second vote will be at upcoming telecon, but if edits are needed this may involve a vote at this meeting.
• Discussion and first vote on PHEP 4, PyHC package tiering.
• Discussion and first vote on PHEP 6, PyHC community and licensing standards. 
• Discussion and likely first vote on PHEP 7, PyHC documentation standards.
• Discussion and potential first vote on packaging and development PHEPs.
• These have not been drafted yet so this is likely to be discussion, but if the draft is considered acceptable there may be a vote. For existing discussion, see here.
