Hello, I want to use my puppet agent as a "agentless proxy for cisco ios" agent.
I've installed all the modules and dependencies an gems which are needed for that.
But I finally get this error report Error: Can't load cisco_ios for DEVICE_NAME_EXAMPLE: getaddrinfo: Servname not supported for ai_socktype executing the command puppet device -v
The Test-Environment is totally isolated so I had to install all the modules and Gems manually. Maybe I did something NOT what the installer would have done.

Hi Thorben,

Did you use device_manager to set up your credentials?

Can you confirm that you can ping / access the address specified from your proxy host?

Thanks
Will

Hi Will,
I do think so.
I set up a device "EXAMPLE-DEVICE" in /etc/puppetlabs/puppet/devices/ and the syntax looks like this:

   address                   => 'ip-address',

   port                         => '22',

   user                         => 'uname',

   password                => 'pass1',

   enable_password   => "pass2",

I can absolutely confirm that I can bought ping and access the configured switch with my proxy host.
