For those paying attention,

Yesterday Microsoft released Visual Studio Code, which is built on top of Electron (what Atom Editor is built on).

One of the things we are wanting to add is Puppet Language Support to it - http://visualstudio.uservoice.com/forums/293070-visual-studio-code/suggestions/7752438-puppet-language-support (please vote it up if you think this is important, you can even do it anonymously).

I started some of the work but haven't added any of the language features yet, https://github.com/ferventcoder/visualstudiocode-puppet-language

There is no documentation on how to update the puppetDef.js file, but if you install code there are other plugins to get examples from.

If you have strong knowledge of the language and want a challenge in creating something with no documentation, it's something we could hand back to the MS team to get it into an upcoming version.

Just comment on issue #1 and start working on it. :)

We might want to move this into puppet-community.

The first thing I looked for was a puppet plugin for MacOS. It would be great if this get some official traction from puppetlabs and something released relatively soon to compliment the release and help facilitate early adoption of using visual studio.
