I have a box with this uname -a output:

  Linux myhost 2.6.32-300.11.1.el5uek #1 SMP Wed Mar 7 09:55:50 EST 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

For various reasons, I cannot use Yum to download.

Anyone know the specific URL's/rpm's I can download to get puppet client up
for the above to work with a Puppet 3.2.1 master?

++  I do.
++ It is. I ended up downloading relevant rpm's and creating a local repo. Good stuff!

++ The test client now has an installed puppet client, ruby, hiera, facter, just fine and
++ we're opening up ports with authorization next for the certification, signing
++ and catalog delivery. I did have to do a bunch manually as I didn't use the repo
++ until creating it after all the work with manual rpm adds, erases, etc.
++ Good learning experience!

++ Onward and upward!

Looks like you haven't worked in a hosting firm with strenuous security yet.

Having paths open to the Internet are a big no-no.

Local repos are a good choice, even for sites with fewer constraints.  I certainly recommend a local repo for home-built packages, but I also recommend maintaining local mirrors of other needed repos.  It reduces traffic from the local network to the Internet, and gives you a measure of independence.
