Hello,

I have followed steps to setup puppet master using passenger-install-apache2-module on centos65.
I started HTTPD service after keeping updated puppetmaster.conf file inside httpd.

How can i make sure that my puppet master is up and listening on 8140 port

Thanks,
Kiran.

# netstat -ntap | grep 8140

... will show what (if anything) is listening on port 8140.

I am wondering why you are using old puppet version when new one is much much better ? Just out of curiosity.

The new puppet installation is remarkably easy. You just import the repo and install it with you or (apt). For apt you would need to run apt-get update though.

Keen to hear from you.

Kind Regards,
Jim
