gems on Ubuntu16 and puppet5

Hi,

I tried to install msgpack and rugged gems in a machine with ubuntu16 and puppet5, but without success. By installing i mean using puppet gem command. Even if I install all required pakcage, the installation fails; ore reason is because the C++ libs in /opt/puppetlabs does not have the right symbols. I can provide more details, but had someone some success in installing those gems? I would like to avoid to install full dev suite on all machines, so I'm willing to package any gem as deb, but I need to understand how to correctly build them at least once. Any suggestion?
