recommended ruby libs for puppetdb?

Hi!
I'm wondering what are the most popular and best maintained libs for
querying PuppetDB in ruby and python?
for ruby I've found two codebases on rubygems.org that seem to have
almost as much downloads. There's puppetdb-ruby from vox pupuli and
ruby-puppetdb from Erik Dalén.
which one of those would ppl most recommend?
I've also looked for libs in python for querying puppetdb but found that
the most recent and up to date one seems to be vox pupuli's pypuppetdb
which seems to support up to puppetdb 3.0.0 only.
