Is there a way to run puppet-agent on a generic Linux OS

    I have a device running on Linux OS ( no RH/Debain/Unbuntu ) ，i wonder to know if there is a way to port/install puppet-agent on it.

As long as ruby is available for the OS you can install puppet also as gem.
(gem install puppet)

Depending on which Linux OS you run, you might have fewer facts available and maybe some types/providers will not work.
We will need more details regarding your OS for more specific details.
