PuppetDB / Improvement PDB-1317
Keep a bounded spool of submitted data in the terminus, with a recovery tool
Issue Type: Improvement Improvement
Affects Versions: PDB 3.0.0
Assignee: Unassigned
Created: 2015/03/19 3:19 PM
Priority: Normal Normal
Reporter: Russell Mull
  • Configuration: enable this feature, and set the time interval beyond which files should be deleted.
  • How similar is this to the existing cache? Can we leverage that, or at least use some of the same conventions?
  • It is very important that this data remain transparent to admins; we could do a lot worse than a directory structure with JSON files. If space is an issue, we could consider gzipping some of them.
  • Recovery tool should take the spooled data and submit it to a given PDB
