While removing the IR-filter I damaged the underlying lens. Can I replace the lens and what specifications should the new lens have?

Thanks
Florian

Hi Rafael,

I've found the technical data sheet before but still I am not sure. It only says 66° diagonal field of view and the 16:9 format should concern the sensor.
I do not know which focal length the new one should have. I am also not sure about the sensor size otherwise it would be possible to calculate it. (20cm distance from eye and target field of 3cm) Manual or auto iris? I think it should be possible to use manual iris lenses. I hope in varying light conditions the camera will electronically compensate. Should I concern about the auto focus? I think it is not needed anymore and manual focus is the way to go?

Thanks

As far as I am understanding, you want to buy a replacement lens for your HD-6000, is that right? For that you will only need:

- access to some store that sell in a low volume base;
- size specifications, the lens will need to fit into the camera;
- right now, the field of view is all you need (as far as I know), it is calculated from the focal length of the camera and the camera sensor;

Don't hurry about the autofocus.

The following site may help:

Thank you Rafael, I will give several lenses with different focal lengths a try until I will find a suitable one. Well, the picture shouldn't be blurred. Lucky me, I don't have to bother finding one with vivid colors.

Hi,

we have spent literally weeks getting lenses for HD6000 or getting a lens thats similar. If you dont plan to buy 100+. The best solution is to buy another HD6000 camera. It sounds off but these lenses are really hard to come by.

Best,

Moritz
