Hi,

for a range of originating ip address 103.118.23.x using google dns (8.8.8.8),

google.com is pointing to 172.217.0.142 (located in the USA) and not 172.217.27.238 (located in Asia)

for our other IP's, its correctly pointing to the local google.com severs.

From Test IP - 103.118.23.253, results are as follows:
Ping to 172.217.0.142 (google.com) -> > 200ms
Ping to 172.217.27.238 (google.com) -> 2ms
Ping to 8.8.8.8 -> 2ms

Hello Arjun,

Incorrect mapping of client IPs for google.com is not determined by
Google Public DNS. We are passing along the answers received from the
google.com nameservers.

The right place to report this problem is https://isp.google.com.

Cheers,
Puneet
