Yesterday Public Invention received a major anonymous donation of more than $20,000. I have no idea who gave us this money.

To them I would like to say: THANK YOU!

Hopefully this is a vote of confidence. We will continue on our current path, attempting to address the crisis in India (and sometimes here in the USA) with prudence and diligence. I feel obliged to complete a large grant so that we do not become dependent on this. Nonetheless, in the next few months, this means that we can buy parts and equipment for:
  1. PolyVent -- our mechanical ventilator
  2. The Ox -- our oxygen concentrator
  3. Our "more efficient pot" project which builds on the EcoPot team from Rice University, just finishing their Senior capstone project
  4. Moonrat -- our second generation portable incubator
  5. REc (Rapid E. coli) detection.

Woah! Congratulations, Robert and Public Invention! Also, happy belated birthday (I am VERY behind on emails).

Best,
Dorothy
