Hi
took many panoramas on a tripod with the osmo pocket 1. My licensed version of PTGui Pro 13.3 is unable to stitch them. Images well aligned with sufficient overlap and at the nodal point . Other softwares have no problem. Anyone as experienced this? is there a fix? thank you.Screenshot 2025-11-19 at 07.51.22.pngScreenshot 2025-11-19 at 08.01.56.png

obviously it should be like that (example with Panorama stitcher from App Store):

Jad, there's no reason why PTGui would be unable to stitch your images.  I stitched the tiny thumbnail images to give an idea of what they might produce:

pix.jpg

If you care to make available for download somewhere the camera images (half size jpegs would do), I'll investigate and stitch them and provide a project file for you. Maybe upload to the free service at wetransfer.com and provide a link here.

Hi John,

Thank you for your reply.

Re: my problem below here is a wetransfer file with the 2 folders - one is jpg files and the other is dng files

I have also included screen shots in the folder of the results of course need to be left out of your tests. Sorry for stating the obvious.

Thank you

Jad

Jad, Thanks for the files.  It seems that the cause of the trouble is PTGui's interpretation of the metadata in the images is incorrect.  When you load in the images, PTGui automatically positions them in the wrong places by default. Before loading the images, switch into Advanced mode and visit the Project settings tab.  At the bottom of the page, uncheck the "Position images automatically using metadata ...".  Then load in your images and run Align images and all should be well.

DJI_0001 Panorama.jpg

As an alternative, you can use a completed project file as a template to initialise the positions if shooting identical setups.  Or you can turn off the "Position images automatically..." option and run File -> "Make default"  for future runs.

Joost needs to investigate this.

Indeed! The metadata seems to faulty. Both the pitch and yaw angles are
mirrored. The upward shots have a negative pitch angle.

I assume this is a bug in the Osmo's firmware. Have you checked if
there's a firmware update available?

You can work around the issue easily, by unchecking this box in the
Project Assistant: "images are already roughly aligned". Do this before
running Align Images.

Kind regards,
