Hello and thank you for maintaining high standard of PTGui software.
I tried to follow few workflow on how to create my own template that is tailored for my one shot camera Kandao Qoocam 8K and its own set of two lenses.
Someone mentioned to create 4 photos with 45 Degrees apart around its axis and have PTGui stich and compensate its barrel distortion. I couldnt create the template as there are too many variables in the process.

I have noticed that for interior shots I may have issues to recreate perfect floor plan  due to inperfection (parralax, not perfect alignment of two lenses, barrel distortion,...) of the camera.

Could you perhaps explain me the step by step on how to create such template?

In the google drive link are 5 photos (JPGs and DNGs) that are 45 Degrees apart. Not sure how many or what degrees are the best to make that unicorn template for my specific camera with its own unique properties (Kandao Qoocam 8K is known for its bad Quality Control).

Much appreciated

Pavel

as an added bonus if you could send me a link to a document on how to use "CP Type to add: Horizontal line / Vertical Line" and in which use cases is it necessary or recommended to use. thank you

Pavel,  I stitched/aligned two of your camera image pairs that were shot 90 degrees apart.  This effectively gives 50% overlap of the images.  Control points were set between the pair of images in each shot and between the two pairs of images. This complete project file is attached.  Then the second pair of images was deleted leaving just the one pair to be used as a template.  (See FAQ: https://www.ptgui.com/support.html#3_9 ).  I visited the Project Settings tab of the template project to specify what processing was to occur when this template is applied. which is basically to copy in image parameters and output settings from the template.  Save the project file (which is also attached).

To use the template:  Open PTGui and load in a camera image.
Use File->Apply template to apply your saved template project file.
Go to the Create panorama tab and run Create Panorama.

You can level the panorama before output by creating two or three vertical line control points on suitable vertical features and run Level Panorama from the Edit menu of the Panorama Editor.  You can also level a finished panorama in the same way after loading in the equirectangular image file.

Thanks a lot John, as it happened I had to sent my qoocam 8K camera back for warranty repairs. Lens #2 needs to be replaced again.
Lens #1 is sharp from day 1 but lens #2 somehow still giving me soft results. I had one more month for warranty claims. I will have to redo the whole calibration process once (if) the camera comes back and the lens #2 will be better than before.

Again, thank you very much for your time and effort.
