Ok, I need to pick you all's brains here.

I am in the market for a new mac for my audio production work.

I am not sure what though to get in terms of space, memory processer
ect.... What is the best configuration for a mac or a mac laptop that
you would all recomand?

The most important specs, especially with the newer Mac models with no user-replaceable processing memory, is definitely RAM and number of CPU cores. Look at the PT minimum specs, and buy as much extra as you can afford.

For storage, go with a solid state drive. I do fine with 256 GB. Solid state is just more durable, faster, and no matter how much or what type of storage you have, you can always use external drives. Using a solid state drive inside the computer is a good idea to load apps more quickly, and save data quicker.

After those specs, you’ll have a better idea of wiggle room for the other specs.
