Hello everyone,

I'm helping my dad (who is blind) with learning Pro Tools. At the moment we are following the mp3 tutorial "Pro Tools With Speech" which is fantastic. We've got this tutorial from a friend, but i've read in this group that there are many other things on dropbox. Is it possible to add us to this? My dropbox email is: netr...@msn.com.

thanks,
Maarten

Hi jimmie,
Its recommended to Start out learning Pro tools before you introduce "
F Tools".
That way you have a better understanding of how Pro tools functions before adding short cuts.

That is a difference in opinion I guess. But then again, I'm not a pro user. Seems to me that this list is for the pro users.

Hi all, I don't mean to hijack this thread but I am also a new Pro Tools user who just picked it up after switching to using VoiceOver for my computer interaction several months ago. If I could request access to the above-mentioned Dropbox tutorials, I'd greatly appreciate it! My Dropbox account is at quinc...@gmail.com.

I intend to get to Flo Tools shortly. In the meantime, I am also wondering if there are any threads dealing specifically with plugins that offer good VoiceOver support? I just learned that Izotope doesn't develop accessible plugins and am wondering what developers are at the forefront besides Avid themselves? I'm mostly interested in vocal processing, effects and mixing/mastering plugins if that helps at all.

I greatly appreciate this group and will do my best to search for existing info prior to posting but wanted to put this out there as a bit of a hello to the community.

Many thanks,
Matt

While the usability may be bit annoying at times depending on the plug ins, The isotope stuff is accessible … once you get past the installer  anyways.

Thanks - do you have any recommendations for getting past the installation phase? The Mac I have running Pro Tools has no monitor hooked up at all. Is it something I might be able to work through using someone's assistance and, say, screen sharing?

Thanks!
Matt
