Hi all,

I have a problem with Routng

If I use a cascade of 3 sends  bus  it's not repricing sound

This is an example in my drums tracks

the two overheads are assigned to overhead bus in I/O
Overhead bus is assigned to DRUMS BUS
DRUMS BUS is assigned to a DRUMS GROUP BUS
DRUMS GROUP BUS IS ASSIGNE TO OUTPUT 1-2

The result of this routing is silence

If I rout the drums bus straight into output 1-2 it words but when if assign to the DRUMS GROUP Bus is not working

This is also for other instruments

So basically when I rout 3 track in cascade no sound comes out form my master track
So an AUX track can't be Routed on an other AUX track and the to the master.

An other example is for the reverb sends
The rever AUX track does not reproduce sound in its output is routed to an AUX BUS.

I have this problem only on this session since in the others session works just fine.

I hope I have explained my problem and someone can help me

Thanks
Luca

You probably have your sends defaulting to infinite resistance rather than unity gain (or 0 dB). Make sure to uncheck the checkbox for "Sends Default to INF" in Pro Tools Preferences. It won't change the existing send levels but you can do that in the Output window for each track. Alternatively, after setting the preference, you can unassign the tracks and reassign them and the gain will be at 0 dB for everything. Don't forget to solo safe your auxiliary inputs if you plan to solo any drum tracks.
HTH,
Slau

Yes, SPOT ON!

That solved the problem. I didn't get how I have activated it. May be just hit an unwanted shortcut.

Thank you very much

Luca
