Hi all,
I attempted to install Flotools on my macbook.
I'm running the latest from the site (Flo Tools v2022.4.0).
I've extracted the installer app to my desktop and ran it from that point.
Protools version (sorry I can't seem to get the version from the app, but I downloaded it through Avid Link today).
OS is Ventura v13.1 on a Macbook pro.
Please let me know if there is any more useful information I can provide.
Thanks,
Ty

I have a semi related question. I thought the code for this might be in github and I could do some digging to debug my own error, but the only things I see in the repo are the apps and a couple HTML files. Is the code publically accessible?

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks so much for your response. I think the install didn't wrap up
because I ran into a permission error:

You don't have permission to save the file "Virtual Extended
Keyboard.app" in the folder "Applications"
I imagine since this isn't released it's still in dev, so I wanted to
give you a heads up.

When I attempt to create a project with FloTools templates now, protools
crashes with an assertion error (I'm kind of surprised they leave
asserts on). I'll wait for whatever permissions have to be fixed and
remove all my protools/flotools prefs and try again to see if that
clears it up.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do. If this is open
source I'm always happy to try to contribute as well.

Thanks,

Hi Tyler,
Thank you for letting me know about that. I will fix it for this next release. The assertion error in ProTools likely has to do with Ventura itself. If anyone can avoid it, I would not be running Ventura if possible

Hi,

Thank you, I appreciate it. Is there a way I can get around this for
now? I thought I'd remove that step from the scripts, but they're
compiled so I can't.

Thanks,

Sorry for the double email. the most basic solution I can think of:

I pulled the virtual extended keyboard app out of the bundle and put it
in /Applications.

FloTools asked me once if I wanted to install, but it seems to have
stored my answer somewhere because it tries to install every time. Where
is that stored so I can simply disable it since I manually installed the
virtual extended keyboard application?

Thanks,
