I know this is an Avid problem and question, but I can't find where to
go or what to do on the Avid site to solve the following.

I bought an annual renewal package from Sweetwater at a discount. The
email I got said that activation codes for renewals don't need to be
entered on the Avid Website. Nevertheless, I logged in to my Avid master
account to make sure monthly billing was turned off. I could find no way
to do this. I tried to use the chat feature to talk with someone about
this, but apparently that feature isn't working, or it only works during
certain times, because when I tried to use it, nothing happened.
Finally, since I jut bought a new computer and wish to have my current
system ID removed and replaced with the new one when it comes, I
couldn't find anywhere on the Avid site to do that, either. So, where do
I need to go on avid.com to get these things done--prevent
double-billing and remove my system ID?

Thanks in advance.

Steve,
You do actually need to enter the renewal code on the Avid site. Best thing to do, since you purchased from Sweetwater, is to have them TeamViewer into your system and get it done efficiently.

Ya know, I kinda thought so. I have all the codes and ID's they'll need
right handy, so I'll do it in the a.m. Thanks for confirming yet again
how crummily inaccessible that site is for doing things one really needs
to do. They're great on selling and delivering the product, but their
aftercare Web support is, well, not so caring. LOL.

hmmm, I did not even need to enter a renewal code, maybe because its
the same computer as last year.

Your life is like a penny. You're going to lose it. The question is:
How do
you spend it?

I've never had a problem with the site. I think the need to cancel a subscription complicates the matter and I think I've heard that the cancellation process isn't accessible. At any rate, yep, Sweetwater can handle that problem.
