remapping the vertule num pad?

Hi everyone hope you're all doing well and staying safe. I'm now going to learn Pro Tools properly for the first time. It's my understanding that a lot of the shortcuts use the num pad, I have something on my computer called Virtual Extended Keyboard which I believe is the num pad for laptop keyboards. My question to you is this, is it possible to remap the keyboard shortcuts that  correspond to the virtual num pad keys? How would I do this? Your help with this question would  be most welcome kind regards Trey.
