Hello. my attention has just been drawn to 'FloTools'. Could you tell me if the application is completely accessible to the blind or vision impaired? I am a former user of ProTools in the audio post environment and would love to get back to audio work if possible. Are items like editing, trimming to start and end, crossfading and fading regions, scrubbing, importing regions to the timeline from the regions list,  importing aaf's, automation, inserting plugins and adjusting parameters  and automating mixes etc........all possible? Many thanks, Óran

Hi Óran,

Pro Tools itself is very accessible. All of the things you mention are very doable. Flo Tools is simply a tool to help make many tasks much more efficient in Pro Tools. If you've used Pro Tools in the past, I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult for you to learn how to use it with VoiceOver.
HTH,
Slau

Hi Slau

Thanks for getting back to me. I didn't realise voiceover on mac makes
ProTools accessible.
does that include scrubbing audio? I remember it was possible but
required the use of a mouse.

Are there any tutorials on using voiceover with ProTools and also
Flotools with ProTools?

Many thanks,
Óran

Hi Óran,
It's not that VoiceOver  makes Pro Tools accessible but that Pro Tools is accessible because VoiceOver can interact with the user interface. Scrubbing does require a control surface which is highly recommended regardless of scrubbing. Pro Tools Ultimate does have the facility for shuttling at numerous speeds, much like scrubbing, and does not require a surface. Reading the Intro to Pro Tools  and Pro Tools reference Guide is probably the best way to learn Pro Tools. Flo Tools does come with a set of tutorials as well. Hope that helps,
Slau
