Slau or anybody else,

Is there any professional training out there for Utilizing flo tools/ProTools From a blind/visually impaired perspective? I understand that there are a lot of formal well produced videos on ProTools specifically, but what about for the blind and visually impaired? Are there mentors, or people who are willing to teach individuals for a hourly rate? I am wondering because it seems like the community is expanding and the world is becoming more accessible every year. I would like to refer people or push the information on the web and make more people aware of what is possible. I do understand that we are a minority in the sense of blindness and visual impairments and especially sound engineering, but doesn’t hurt to ask.

Respectfully,
Steve Baskis

Hey steve.

I train individuals on PT, so if I can be of any help, let me know.

$35.00USD via PayPal, with a minimum 1 hour commitment payment must be received up front before training begins.

Chris.

Hi Steve,
The only training currently available is through I see Music. That is not a certification course but it is designed by and specifically for blind users. I know they offer some degree of online training but you'd need to visit www.iseemusic.com to learn more.
HTH,
Slau

Chris, I wrote you a personal email off of the PT access groups message board. Not sure if it went to your junk or if you got it, but would love to speak about training whenever you’re free. First I would like to get to know you and understand your services though.

Thanks,
Steve

Also, just a quick mention, that I plan to release Pro Tools with Speech 2.0 in the next month or so.
This version will go deeper than the previous release: as of now the sections are recording, editing, mixing,
mastering, and releasing a track.
I walk through the entire process including releasing a new song to iTunes and spotify via distrokid.

More details coming very soon!

Have you determined yet the cost? I ask, as I'd like to be saving the money to get it.

I do own the first version, all 3 modules.

Chris,

At this point it’s TBD, but I am doing my best to keep it somewhere in range of the previous release.

I’ll update with details soon.
