All,

I recently downloaded Amplitube 5 with hopes of using it in PT, however, even though it will show up, I cannot access a single parameter or preset. I wanted to ask, is it this inaccessible, or perhaps, I am doing something wrong? Everything shows up as authorized, and when I have my wife look at it as a standalone, she is able to page through the parameters and amplifiers. They have some good products, but if this is the way they work with VO, I guess they’re useless.
Thanks,
Shawn

I found it as well both on Windows and on the Mac to be totally useless.

Chris.

IK Multimedia’s software is generally not very accessible. For something similar, STL Tone’s AmpHub should be accessible. I also use a lot of the plug in Alliance amp sims, but a lot of those are individual amps and not a suite with the exception of RockRack. I think plug in alliance is running some kind of buy 2 get one free sale at the moment with plug ins costing $29.
If you are into the heavier side of things Otto Audio’s II II II II or eleven eleven as its called is worth a look and there is always a 50% off code that will work for it it seems.

Hi Steve,

Man I sure appreciate the info. IK has some good stuff, so it sucks hard that we can’t access it. Their loss I guess… I was also looking at amp hub, so thanks for letting me know that it is useable. I’m guessing guitar rig is also not accessible for VO users?

Thanks again Steve,
Shawn

Shawn,

In regards to guitar rig, I've heard of some people with VOCR that got it to work, kind of sort of, but I sure never could get it to work that way.

Now that said, if you have a Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol midi controller, then yes, it's completely accessible, but realize that the caveat is, you have to instantiate it on an instrument track, not an audio track, so if you're literally playing guitar, then no. It won't work, unless that is, you happen to be one of the lucky people who with VOCR can get at the presets and such.

At this time though, we don't accessibly have a way to route audio through Komplete Kontrol, so you could put it on a virtual instrument, but otherwise... yeah...

Chris.
