OT: VoiceOver and Keyboard Maestro mouse click

Hello all!

Does somebody know if the VO mouse click does anything ddifferent than the
left mouse click performed by a macro of Keyboard Maestro?
With success I created some KM macros to move the mouse and perform left
clicks onto different screen icons via keyboard shortcuts.
Now when using the same method to click into a search field to activate it,
the mouse coordinates are correct, but no text input is possible after the
left click.
Doing the same by moving the mouse via Flo Mouse and pressing VO+Shift+Space
does work.
