Gents,
you may remember that last summer Tom, M0LTE,
myself and others started work on providing pskreporter
spots over an MQTT message broker.

This has gone very well, and as a result I can offer you, Spotty,
a web application that shows real-time streaming pskreport spots from
the broker. The biggest thing you will notice is that there is
no update button! The spots will be shown as they arrive from
the main system and stay showing until they have been up
for a configurable time, say 10 mins.

And the nice thing is that there is no additional load on the main
pskreport site.

When you go there, you be shown spots from and to my grid square,
IO91 (so there is something see),  this can be changed, along with callisign, in the settings tab.

Once you have set these, they will be saved on the browser so you don't
have to set them again.

Suggestions, bug, abuse welcome.

Hi Mike and Tom,
this looks very interesting, I'm the author of SparkSDR and have always wanted to add the users reported spots (reported by others) to the built in map display but did not want to add any extra load to pskreporter. Is there some documentation on this feed and would this be considered an appropriate use?

Hi Alan

Please see http://mqtt.pskreporter.info/ and ask any questions you may have.

It may be best to join us over at https://groups.io/g/pskr-mqtt for that.

All the best
Tom

It's true I didn't  see any last night.

You can check most easily on the 'status' tab,
which has a table of the number of spots in
each band that have been received.
The table doesn't show rows for zero spots BTW

However, I'm not sure how much activity
there would be on 4M on a winter evening in Wales :-)

The bands are not filtered, although I
may have not set the correct band colour for 4M.
