VHF/UHF very slow

Hi

First thank you very much for this service

I am mainly using 2m/70cm/23cm

When I use the band selection VHF/UHF the server responds very slow

Search with my callsign recv/sent

Sometimes it even time out "website error something.."

If I choose either 2m, 70cm or all bands it responds mucher quicker.

I could understand if "all bands" was just as slow or slower than VHF/UHF

This is, unfortunately, due to the lack of indexing for that vhf/UHF case. There is field in the database for the band, and this is indexed. However when you want vhf/UHF it has to do a full table scan which is slow.

Hi Philip,

Can't you then make a new category where just 6m + 4m + 2m + 70cm are summarized? Because on my computer, too, “vhf/uhf” is so slow that it's unusable in practice.

Not easily as there is a single band field per row. I'll see if anything else can be done.

What about a possibility to have a "custom selection" and let is search band by band (I guess that each band has a index file)

Have you changed something

Suddenly it respond within a few seconds

(Most times...in between it made this "Unable to fetch current data. Website problem? (0 )"
