Windows 11

Is anyone running PSI on Windows 11?  We are still running PSI in the background to access history, but right now we can only get it to run on Windows 10.  

Any ideas on how to run PSI on Windows 11?

We are running PSI on both Windows 10 and 11 machines using Hyper V for a virtual computer that is running Windows XP.

Not a good answer, but many of my PSI clients are using a vm-workstation (WIN 7) or Terminal Server.

 

Let’s see if we get some WIN 11 feedback

We're running PSI natively in Windows 11. 

There's definitely some hoops to jump through. 

• User permissions 

• installed for local logged in user

• Mapped drive

• SMB requirements depending on your server operating system 

Hopefully soon we'll be in your position where we only need a minimum number of people to access it for background information.

PSI v2010.1 runs natively on W11, but sometimes I must do this work around to get it to work properly:

 

1. Install 3 required MS .NET frameworks
   1. .NET SDK 2.1.202
   2. .NET SDK 6.0.302
   3. NETfX20SP1
2. Use the ClientSetup.msi as usual.
3. Copy and paste all files from a W10 install (including psmain.exe). See the folder location below.
4. Run the ClientSetup.msi and select the “Repair” option.
5. Open PSI to make sure the error code has disappeared.
6. Close PSI.
7. Enter the following “PSI Fix” in cmd as administrator: “regsvr32 C:\EFI\PSI\Client\2010.1\PSILIB.dll”
8. Open PSI. It will work the same as W10 22H2.
