Hello, how can I tell in Psi+ chat window whether any conversation is Omemo encrypted or not?

If you have omemo plugin enabled and on your toolbar it's also on you definitely will send encrypted messages.

Then on response from remote if you don't see messages like "encryption disabled" then you receive encrypted messages.
