I am new to protocol buffers.   I understand it is a format for information exchange.
But what I cannot seem to find is how to efficiently and reliably 'transport' the serialized data across a local area network.
I have used CORBA and data distribution services (DDS) for other projects so I am familiar with RPC/Middleware concepts.
Thanks.

gRPC.io is the defacto recommended solution for proto3. alternatively you could use HTTP as the transport if that's easier within your network.
