Full release: Proto3 optional

Is there any update on when the optional feature in proto3 will be released? Currently, it is in experimental phase.

Hi,
Are there any thoughts on this?
I'm considering using this feature and it would really help to know if this will be full released or even if there are contrary thoughts on dropping it.

I second this. It seems all the code generators that come with protoc by default support this feature already. It would be nice to know a roadmap for this feature.

This feature was just released in https://github.com/protocolbuffers/protobuf/releases/tag/v3.15.0.
