Installing Java in Proot

Hey,

I want to install Java in Proot, to run an application called OmegaT.

Does anyone know a most recommended way to do this? I've had various errors, and it's not clear to me why.

I'm trying again now, a different way.

Also, can Proot run some kind of graphical Linux desktop, to be viewed in the app VNC Viewer? How would you install this?

Hi Julius,

The PRoot mailing list is mostly dead these days.

We mostly hang out on Gitter now, https://gitter.im/proot-me/devs

To answer your questions, you would need to find a rootfs [1], such as Alpine Linux [2], and then install Java from there.

If you can file an issue on GitHub [3], then we can take a look at those errors.

I've seen some projects [4], that are able to run graphical environments.
