Hello all,
Since I am trying to monitor our SQL Server environment with Prometheus I need to setup some basic alerting; instance down, CPU and/or memory utilization high, etc.. Out of the box I'm having trouble finding any examples that would show these rules that I can build off of. We are using telegraf to export to prometheus. This is working out great but my problem is anything I find for creating rules are other DBMS like MySQL. We have prometheus.yml pointing to a rules file called sqlserver.yml; what I'm hoping for is some type of reference for creating the rules pertaining to SQL Server. If anyone has any info on this at all it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike, good morning.

Could you share which MS SQL Server exporter have you been using?
Are you using Windows exporter too? Share its name too please.
